CINEMANIA will present the North-American premiere
of the film VERSAILLES starring Guillaume Depardieu,
with a heart-felt tribute by director Pierre Schoeller



October 15th, 2008 - It is with great sadness that the CINEMANIA French Film Festival team has learned the sudden and tragic passing of actor Guillaume Depardieu.

Maidy Teitelbaum, President and Founder of CINEMANIA, who was so moved when she saw the film in Cannes and absolutely wanted to present it at CINEMANIA, expressed her sentiment as follows: ‘’This actor and his films touched us in so many ways. His performance in the film VERSAILLES is particularly memorable.’’

Managing Director Geneviève Royer said: ‘’The world of cinema is in mourning today. We are mourning the loss of an actor at the top of his game and also the loss of all the films that Guillaume Depardieu will not make.’’
