MANAGEMENT

Maidy Teitelbaum, President and Founder

Maidy is the Founder and President of CINEMANIA. With determination and passion for the 7th Art, Maidy created the Festival in 1995 as a celebration of the best of francophone cinema. From the very beginning, her vision has always been to showcase quality films from new talent, as well as well-established directors. Her work was recognized in 2006 when the French Minister of Culture named her Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Last June, in Paris, the SACD (Société des artistes et compositeurs dramatiques of France) awarded Maidy the prestigious Médaille Beaumarchais for her impressive work. Her goal, above all, is making cinema accessible to everybody.

Geneviève Royer, Managing Director

Since 1994, Geneviève has been a journalist and film critic for the written press, radio and television. In 2005, she became Managing Director for CINEMANIA. She shares the responsibility of film programming with Maidy Teitelbaum.
