MANAGEMENT

President and Founder
Maidy is the Founder and President of CINEMANIA. With determination and passion for the 7th Art, Maidy created the Festival in 1995 as a celebration of the best of francophone cinema. From the very beginning, her vision has always been to showcase quality films from new talent, as well as well-established directors. Thanks to her involvement as part of the programming committee, CINEMANIA is able to screen the best French-language films every year. Her work was recognized in 2006 when the French Minister of Culture named her Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. In 2008, in Paris, the SACD (Société des artistes et compositeurs dramatiques of France) awarded Maidy the prestigious Médaille Beaumarchais for her impressive work. Her goal, above all, is making cinema accessible to everybody.
